ASEAN Fintech Census
The word “census” originated in ancient Rome from the Latin word censere (“to estimate”). United Nations recommends countries should conduct it every 10 years so that countries can develop proper understanding of residents of their jurisdiction and better plan for the welfare of constituents.
One of the key challenges for startups, policy makers, service providers and investors is absence of clear understanding of the constituents of Fintech ecosystem across ASEAN. AFIC shall work with partners to undertake a Fintech census across ASEAN in order to share in depth analysis about community members in collaboration with fintech associations and policy makers across ASEAN.
The census will start in November 2017 to January 2018 and final report and finding will be shared during Money 2020 Asia in March 2018.
